Meals for Change

The Ballarat Connected Communities grant was gratefully received by Meals for Change. The grant resulted in over 500 visits and in excess of 700 meals being enjoyed by Meals for Change members. In addition to recipients benefitting from the program, the fact that recipients had a purpose to converse with others during periods of isolation positively impacted some members’ mental health. The grant was also appreciated by small business owners as the beneficiaries of the Meals for Change members’ patronage throughout COVID-19.

Ballarat Football Umpires Association

The Ballarat Football Umpires Association is very grateful for the funding provided by Ballarat Connected Communities to support the health and wellbeing of our team, particularly during the Covid environment. In such difficult times, we were able to facilitate sessions focused on identifying the mental health within our group, building a strong and resilient team and strengthening our culture. This support has made a significant positive difference to our community.
